GATO is a space of duality, of friction, and of multiplicity—fittingly named after a creature that itself resists definition.
 THE GATO PARADOX elegance and mystery to some, and of aloofness and subversion to others. It is this tension that we, as a gallery, inhabit—a tension that speaks to the very nature of contemporary art.
 What is GATO? Homage and a Provocation. One of our founders loves cats, finding in them an autonomous grace and a self-assured beauty. The other, on the contrary, is allergic to them— he can't be in the same room as them. In cats we see their indifference, their refusal to conform. This dynamic between reverence and repulsion is not just anecdotal; it informs the very DNA of our curatorial approach. The gallery becomes a space of conversation between these polarities, between the elegant and the unruly, the familiar and the unsettling.
 LOS GATOS don’t solve contradictions, they celebrate them. GATOS are in flux, not static. We shift between attraction and repulsion, beauty and discomfort. We celebrate what comes at ease and what cannot be easily understood or defined.
